About Us

Purpose

The International Journal of Social and Development Concerns (IJSDC) is a peer-refereed online journal that publishes six (6) issues per year in either English, Kiswahili, French or German. Democratic governments have a moral obligation to deliver social services to their citizens, and the development of any country is determined by the delivery of those services, whether by the public or the private sector. This journal provides rapid publication of articles in all areas of the social sciences, humanities, business, education and development studies.

The IJSDC aims at the creation, dissemination and re-invention of knowledge, emphasized by the quintessence of extraordinary and innovative research works. Our multi-dimensional mission is to promote awareness of and compatibility with the dynamics of the study area among scholars, academicians, professors and proponents.

We prefer the term “social and development concerns” because problems that affect a considerable number of people in a community affect their functioning, and consequently development. The journal is multidisciplinary, for what affects development in our society is diverse. It has been published six times a year since July–August 2017.

Vision

The vision of IJSDC is to be the source of sound scientific publications, continuing growth of scientific knowledge and interventions.
